Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FamilySafeAI (“the Service”), available at familysafeai.org and through associated applications, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

The Service is operated by DsD Adventures LLC (“FSAI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a California limited liability company. For questions or concerns, contact us at dsd.gr8ful@gmail.com.

2. Description of Service

FamilySafeAI is a privacy-focused AI middleware platform that sits between your family and AI providers. The Service processes your requests through a privacy layer that removes identifying information before routing them to third-party AI models. The Service provides:

• Age-appropriate AI interactions through tiered access (HOME, KIDS, TEEN, GOLD)
• Architectural anonymization that prevents AI providers from identifying individual users
• Optional faith and political perspective filters that shape how responses are framed
• Family account management through a central administrator

3. Eligibility and Account Structure

You must be at least 18 years old to create an administrator (“Admin”) account. The Admin account holder is the sole individual authorized to create, manage, and configure all user accounts (“apps”) within their subscription.

Minors (under 18) may only access the Service through KIDS or TEEN tier apps that have been set up and configured by the Admin account holder. Minors may not create their own accounts, modify their tier settings, or use the Service without an Admin having established their app.

Each app within a subscription is designated for one individual family member. Account sharing — allowing multiple individuals to use a single app — is prohibited. Violation of this policy may result in suspension or termination of service.

4. Service Tiers

HOME: Designed for adults. Full AI capabilities with all available filters and features.

KIDS (Ages 10-12): Age-appropriate language and content. Additional safety filters applied. Faith filter settings are controlled exclusively by the Admin account holder. Political filters are not available on this tier.

TEEN (Ages 13-17): Balanced access with subtle guardrails appropriate for teenagers. Political filters are not available on this tier.

GOLD: Identical functionality to HOME, presented with clear, jargon-free language. Designed for individuals who are new to AI technology. This is not a premium tier.

5. Pricing and Billing

The Service is billed on a monthly, prepaid basis. When you subscribe, you are purchasing access for the upcoming 30-day billing period. Current pricing:

• 1 app (Solo): $29/month
• 2-4 apps: $39/month
• 5-8 apps: $49/month

There are no long-term contracts. You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of your current billing cycle. No partial refunds will be issued for unused portions of a billing period.

FSAI reserves the right to modify pricing with 30 days' advance notice to active subscribers.

6. Refund Policy

The Service operates on a prepaid monthly basis. No refunds are provided for any billing period in which you have had access to the Service, regardless of usage level. Your subscription grants access for the full billing period, and cancellation takes effect at the end of that period.

In the event of a catastrophic system failure rendering the Service completely unusable for a significant portion of a billing period, FSAI may, at its sole discretion, issue a partial or full credit toward future service. Such credits are not guaranteed and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

7. Usage Limits and Throttling

Each subscription plan includes a monthly usage allocation measured in dollar cost of AI processing. Usage is tracked at both the individual app level and the account level.

Individual throttling: When an individual app's usage reaches 70% of its allocation, that app's responses may be routed to more efficient AI models. The user is not notified of this change. Service continues without interruption, though response characteristics may vary.

Account throttling: When total account usage reaches 80% of the monthly allocation, all apps on the account may be routed to more efficient models for the remainder of the billing period.

Excessive use: FSAI reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate any account that demonstrates usage patterns significantly exceeding normal use, including but not limited to automated or scripted requests, sustained high-volume usage designed to exhaust resources, or any pattern FSAI determines constitutes abuse. Suspension or termination for excessive use does not entitle the account holder to a refund.

8. Content and Conduct

You are responsible for the content of your requests to the Service. You agree not to use the Service to:

• Request information that violates any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to circumvent or disable any safety filters, whether implemented by FSAI or by underlying AI model providers
• Generate content intended to harm, harass, threaten, or exploit any individual, including minors
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying prompts, filters, or system architecture of the Service
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Service

The Service relies on safety filters built into the third-party AI models it routes through. These filters are maintained by the respective AI providers and are outside FSAI's direct control. FSAI additionally reserves the right to implement its own content filtering at any time, on a general or case-by-case basis, if it determines content is inappropriate.

9. Faith and Political Filter Disclaimer

The Service offers optional faith and political perspective filters that shape how AI responses are framed. These filters are designed to present information from a perspective consistent with the user's stated beliefs or worldview.

These filters are not reviewed, endorsed, or certified by any religious institution, denomination, clergy, political organization, party, or official body. Filtered responses should not be interpreted as official doctrine, theological teaching, canonical guidance, or authoritative policy positions.

FSAI makes no representation that filtered responses accurately or completely reflect the teachings, beliefs, or positions of any specific faith tradition or political philosophy. Users seeking authoritative guidance on matters of faith should consult their clergy, religious leaders, or official denominational resources. Users seeking authoritative guidance on political matters should consult official party platforms, elected officials, or qualified policy analysts.

The faith filter for KIDS tier accounts is configured exclusively by the Admin account holder. KIDS tier users cannot modify their own faith filter settings.

10. AI Accuracy Disclaimer

The Service routes your requests to third-party AI models. AI-generated responses may contain inaccuracies, errors, outdated information, or fabricated content (commonly known as “hallucinations”). FSAI does not independently verify the accuracy of AI-generated responses.

You should not rely on AI-generated responses as a substitute for professional advice in areas including but not limited to: medical decisions, legal matters, financial planning, or safety-critical situations. Always verify important information through authoritative sources.

FSAI is a middleware platform. We do not create the AI models, do not control their training data, and cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of any response.

11. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain ownership of the AI-generated content produced in response to your requests. You may use this content for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes.

Commercial use is not permitted without a separate commercial license from FSAI. If you wish to use AI-generated content for commercial purposes, contact us at dsd.gr8ful@gmail.com to inquire about commercial licensing options.

Our content: The Service, including its design, architecture, prompts, filtering systems, user interface, branding, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by DsD Adventures LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on any part of the Service.

12. Feedback and Unexpected Results

The Service includes a feedback mechanism that allows users to report unexpected or unsatisfactory AI responses. When you submit feedback through the “Unexpected Response” feature:

• Your feedback is de-identified by design. The system architecturally cannot associate feedback with your identity, account, email, or name.
• Only metadata is retained: the service tier, general age group, AI model used, filter settings active at the time, and the content of the response in question.
• Once an issue has been categorized and resolved, only the metadata and category are retained. All other data associated with the report is deleted.
• Feedback is used solely to improve the Service, optimize prompts, and enhance response quality.

By using the feedback feature, you acknowledge and agree that your submissions will be used as described above.

13. Termination

By you: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access until that date.

By us: FSAI reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to: violation of these Terms, excessive use, abusive behavior, or any activity that threatens the integrity or security of the Service. Termination for cause does not entitle you to a refund.

Effect of termination: Upon termination and completion of all outstanding billing obligations, FSAI will delete all account data, user preferences, usage records, and associated information. The only information retained is what payment processors are legally required to maintain (typically email address and transaction records). See our Privacy Policy for details.

14. De-Personalized Data and Future Services

FSAI may, in the future, make de-personalized, aggregated usage metadata available to third-party AI companies for the purpose of model testing and optimization. This metadata contains no personally identifiable information and cannot be used to identify individual users.

Such partnerships, if established, may provide benefits to subscribers including but not limited to: discounted or complimentary access to new AI tools, enhanced model performance, early access to emerging AI capabilities, and the opportunity to contribute to AI development.

FSAI will never enter into any agreement that involves the sale of personal data, the identification of individual users to third parties, or the targeted marketing of users based on their usage patterns.

Any future data-sharing arrangements will be subject to the same de-identification standards described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We will update these Terms and notify active subscribers before any such program begins.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

FSAI DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE. FSAI DOES NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT.

16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DSD ADVENTURES LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL FSAI'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO FSAI IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

17. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Mandatory Arbitration: Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may seek equitable relief in court for intellectual property matters.

Arbitration shall be conducted under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and shall take place in the State of California. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.

Class Action Waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against FSAI.

Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

18. Changes to These Terms

FSAI reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers via email at least 30 days prior to taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
